Energy efficiency funding schemes – Wednesday 23 April at 4.30pm. Join us for a webinar on Scottish Government and other energy efficiency funding schemes. We’ll provide an update on available funding schemes, including ECO4, the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS), Warmer Homes Scotland, and more. - Infrared heating – technology and applications – Wednesday 11 December. This informative webinar is on infrared heating technology, a direct electric heating technology for domestic and non-domestic buildings. The Scottish Government’s Heat in Buildings Bill proposes to phase out fossil fuel heating systems 2045. As we move away from gas and oil boilers to cleaner options like heat networks, heat pumps, and electric heating, it is important to understand infrared heating technology, its suitability and applications. We invited an expert from Flexel to discuss their infrared heating technology, including how it works, ideal applications, installer requirements, efficiency, lifespan and maintenance. - MCS scheme changes – Wednesday 20 November. This webinar provides clarity on the changes resulting from the six-week consultation in the summer of 2023 where MCS sought views from contractors, consumers, manufacturers, and independent experts on proposals to redevelop the scheme. - Why and how to achieve PAS2030 certification and TrustMark registration for your business – Wednesday 23 October. In this webinar you will hear from a TrustMark scheme provider, Installation Assurance Authority (IAA) on the process for installers to meet PAS2030 standards and become TrustMark registered. - ECO funding – Wednesday 28 August. An informative webinar on ECO funding, where we discuss opportunities available for installers through the Energy Company Obligation scheme managed by energy suppliers. - An overview on high heat retention storage heaters – Wednesday 24 July. We invited experts from the manufacturer Glen Dimplex to provide more clarity on the many aspects to consider when installing a high heat retention storage heater. The webinar addresses efficiencies and costs, comparisons with other heating systems and typical scenarios of where it is more suitable. - Procurement guidance – bid better for public sector contracts – 21 February 2024. In partnership with the consultancy firm, SCMG, this webinar introduces our updated procurement guide and provides a step-by-step on how to develop a bid to access public contracts. New initiatives introduced by the Heat in Building Strategy such as the Local Heat Energy Efficiency Strategies (LHEES) bring commercial opportunities to the supply chain working on the retrofit sector. This webinar will walk you through how to make a successful bid for public sector contracts in the energy efficiency and renewables marketplace. Both the UK and Scottish governments run schemes making money available to both households and businesses to make energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements to their property and premises.
